Which new gel polish colours are trending this season?

This season is all about rich, deep tones and fresh, clean looks. Deep greens like Emerald · 366 and classic reds like Queen · 372 are highly popular for a bold statement. If you prefer a more subtle look, soft pinks like Please Me · 392 and milky shades are excellent choices for a clean, modern aesthetic.

What is the difference between Gel Polish and Liquid Builder Gel?

Gel Polish is a coloured gel that you apply in thin layers to add colour and a glossy finish to your nails. Liquid Builder Gel has a thicker consistency and is used to reinforce your natural nails, build strength, or create short extensions. You can use our liquid builder gel colors on their own for a sheer look, or apply your favourite Gel Polish on top.

How to apply your new gel colours

To achieve a beautiful and long-lasting result, preparation is key. Always start by prepping your natural nails by shaping them, pushing back the cuticles, and gently buffing the surface. This helps the product adhere properly and prevents peeling after a few days.

  • Apply a thin layer of Base Coat and cure it in your UV or LED lamp.
  • Apply your chosen Gel Polish in thin, even layers.
  • Cure each layer in the lamp before applying the next one.
  • Finish with a layer of Top Coat to seal the colour and add a glossy finish.

How many coats do you need for a vibrant gel polish?

To get a vibrant gel polish result, we recommend applying 2 thin layers of colour. Some lighter or sheer shades might require a third layer to achieve full opacity, while highly pigmented shades like Milla · 371 or Aqua Forest · 380 look even and opaque after just 2 coats. Always apply thin layers to ensure the gel cures completely.

How do you cure Gel Polish and builder gel?

You cure both Gel Polish and builder gel under a UV or LED lamp. The curing time depends on the lamp you use, but typically it takes 60 seconds in an LED lamp or 2 minutes in a UV lamp for each layer. Make sure not to apply the layers too thick, as this can prevent the UV light from reaching the bottom of the layer, leading to incomplete curing.

How do you apply Liquid Builder Gel at home?

Applying Liquid Builder Gel is simple. After prepping your nail and applying Base Coat, apply a thin layer of the builder gel as a base. Without curing, place a small drop of Liquid Builder Gel in the middle of the nail and guide it towards the edges using your brush. Let it self-level for a few seconds, then cure it for 60 seconds in an LED lamp. Finish by filing the shape and applying Top Coat.

Are there sheer or semi-transparent gel options?

Yes, we have several sheer and semi-transparent options in our range. Shades like Bare Blush · 473 and Milkdrop · 474 provide a soft, milky, or semi-sheer finish. These are ideal for creating a natural look, a classic French manicure, or as a strong base under other gel nail colours.

How can you use different colours to create a French manicure?

A French manicure is a timeless look that you can easily create at home. Use a soft pink or nude shade like Bare Blush · 473 as your base colour and cure it. Then, use a liner brush to paint a thin, curved line along the free edge of your nail with a milky white shade like Milkdrop · 474. Once you are happy with the line, cure it and finish with a glossy Top Coat.
